Termite Control: How to Keep Termites at Bay

Keeping termites away is the first step in termite control. A thorough termite control inspection from KY-KO includes:

One of our highly trained technicians will create a detailed written report including any evidence of activity, or areas of potential risk of termite activity. To protect your property, there are two types of treatment necessary to control termites throughout the area.

Soil Treatment

Many termites burrow underground and enter your structure from below, so it’s necessary to treat the soil to effectively control them. We create a barrier around the sub-floor of the building and throughout the perimeter soil, so the termites can’t get through to your home or business. There are several methods used in soil treatment, from trenching to rod injection.

Structural Treatment

If termites have infested your structure, KY-KO can use different methods to remove them. Drywood termites may be removed by spot-treatment in some cases, while others may require fumigation; it depends on how many colonies are found in the structure. We can assess the situation and make recommendations in every case we find.

Termites are a pest problem that won’t go away, but once we treat them, we offer a warranty. We offer a 1 to 5 year warranty on our work, and if you see any sign of re-infestation during that time, we’ll come back and re-treat the areas of infestation at no cost to you.

When you think about termite control, think about Ky-Ko, and you’ll find quality, service, and the necessary skills.
